Police in Zamfara State have killed three terrorists after gun duels at different communities in Tsafe and Bakura Local Government Areas of the state.
The Commissioner of Police Mohammed Bunu said this during his maiden press briefing at the Command Headquarters in Gusau, the state capital.

Bunu told journalists that operatives of the Anti-violence Squad, neutralized two terrorists, and recovered one AK-49 and a pump action gun, after engaging in a gun duel with the terrorists at Gidan Giye in Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.
He said police operatives also killed one man and recovered high calibre rifles with magazines, in a shootout with suspected terrorists trying to attack one Abdullahi Na’ibid of Yardadi Village, in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
He expressed the readiness of the command to collaborate with traditional rulers, religious leaders, and other security agencies, to tackle the security challenges facing the state.
The Police Commissioner commended the media for contributing to the successes recorded in the l fight against terrorists and urged them to continue to exhibit professionalism in their reportage of security issues.
