Police Investigate alleged kidnap Of 17 persons In Abuja

Police in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory, say they are investigating the alleged kidnap of about 17 persons including pregnant women and little kids. from a yet to be identified place in Abuja to an unknown destination.

The FCT police Command in a tweet on its official Twitter handle appreciated those that drew the attention of the command to the alleged incident.

This is coming several hours after the alleged victim posted her location on social media calling for rescue.

The police in the statement said though there was no formal report of any abduction/ kidnapping in The FCT throughout Tuesday, there are reports from many online sources tag the case as an alleged kidnapping, that would have to be one of the most unique incidents of its kind.

The police said that a victim has access to her phone to post useful information about her whereabouts remains unconventional to such crime yet a beam of hope for all, the Police inclusive.

The FCT Police Command said it has since drafted the Tactical and Intelligence apparatus on the case upon the receipt of the information to rescue all involved and get to the root of the matter.

The command thanked the members of the public for the useful information given and enjoin them to exercise patience and calm while the Police remain on top of the situation.
