A joint police and vigilante team in Babangida, the headquarters of Gurara Local Government Area of Niger State have killed 3 members of the 7-man gang of suspected kidnappers.

The gang was said to have invaded Goyi village in Gwagwalada area council of The Federal Capital Territory, before meeting their waterloo during a shootout with the police when they also invaded Tufa village in Gurara Local Government Area of Niger State.

Those arrested with gunshot wounds include 20-year old Abdul-Qadir Abubakar, 22-year old Nuhu Shuaibu and Musa Mai Saje, who is 20 years old.

Items recovered from the suspects include one AK 47 rifle, with erased breach number, an empty magazine and one pump action gun, as well as an army camouflage uniform.
