Police kill members of a robbery gang in Delta State, apprehend drug dealers

Three persons out of a four-man robbery gang have been neutralised and killed in Eku, Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State following a gun duel with operatives of the State Police Command.

The notorious gang who had long been on the Police wanted list were engaged by police during a robbery operation within the Eku-Abraka terrain.

Items recovered were; An AK-49 Rifle, one Cut-To-Size single barrel gun, five live cartridges, eleven android phones, and laptops.

Delta State Commissioner of Police, Ari Mohammed in a statement says a combined team of security forces codenamed Operation Delta Hawk, in a separate operation raided a notorious black spot also identified as cultists’ rendezvous in Asaba the State Capital, where four suspects in possession of various quantities of hard drugs were arrested.

Suleiman Isa, Idris Mohammed, Saidu Isah and Habibu Kebbi are currently undergoing investigation over their possession of the hard drugs which include; Cocaine, Indian Hemp, Sachets of SK, Tramadol, and Swinol.

The statement while assuring to make Delta State hot for every criminal element urged law-abiding residents to go about their lawful duties and keep on with furnishing the Police with useful information against criminals.
