Police nab 2 suspected drug dealers, driver for breach of trust in Niger State

Illicit drugs intercepted by Police in Niger State

The police in Niger State say they have arrested 2 men with illicit drugs in Kontagora Local Government Area of the state.

The duo were said to have been arrested on February 20 at about 6pm by Police Operatives of ‘A’ Division Kontagora along Matachibu village with suspected illicit hard drugs.

Spokesman of the Police, Superintendent Wasi’u Abiodun, while confirming the development in a statement, said the duo claimed that they went to take
delivery of items from their supplier.

They also added that they were taking it to their outlets in Bangi and its environs, but the Police suspects that they could be supplying the illicit drugs to kidnappers in the area.

The Police is intensifying effort to arrest the said supplier.

Similarly, on February 20, the Police also said they arrested a driver, Bello Adamu, for breach of trust by servants, as a driver uses company vehicle to convey unauthorized goods.

He was said to have been arrested with a truck conveying full load of scraps which does not belong to the company.
