Cross River State Command of the Nigeria Police says it has in its custody three suspected kidnappers.
According to a statement released by the Command Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo, the Anti Kidnapping Squad of the Nigeria Police had been in the trail of the suspects following an intelligent report that they were about to Kidnap a businessman.
A source told AIT that the police is alleging that the same Audi car used in Kidnapping of the wife of a Justice of the Appeal Court, Ekwele, was found in the suspects’ possession.
The Police Spokesperson, however, declined to confirm this, insisting that investigation was ongoing.
The suspected kidnappers were arrested at Okoro Agbor by Marian Road in Calabar Municipality Area Council of Cross River State.
The businessman, according to the statement, was handed over to his family unhurt.

Recall that Justice Agube’s wife, Ekwele, was Kidnapped on Sunday night at her shop.
Her Personal Assistant who was with her was, however, unlucky as she was pronounced dead at the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital Calabar following a gunshots injuries she sustained.
