Police nab 7 terrorists, collaborators, others in Zamfara State.

The Police in Zamfara State have arrested seven terrorists, gun runners and informants who have been terrorizing innocent citizens in the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Superintendent, SP Mohammed Shehu, who paraded the suspected terrorists, and five political thugs, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf, said the police tactical operatives, acting on intelligence, resulted in the arrest of the suspects.

He revealed that the police operatives also nabbed terrorists’ informants and a gun runner, who engaged in the supply of arms and ammunition to the terrorists in the Kuchera area of Zamfara State.

Abubakar Buda, 32 years old, who hails from Zuru Local Government Area of Kebbi State in Northwest Nigeria, is the gun runner, who has been using a Golf vehicle of dark-ash colour to convey firearms and ammunition from Jos, Plateau State, to a terrorist leader, identified as Chumo at Kucheri area of Zamfara State.

The police disclosed that it had last Saturday, arrested five suspected political thugs over the alleged killing of one person, with eleven others injured, when APC and PDP youths clashed in Gusau, the state capital.

SP Mohammed Shehu said Police tactical operatives recovered four locally fabricated guns, part of an AK 47 rifle, 100 rounds of AK 47 live ammunition, seven cartridges, a cutlass, two motorcycles, four handsets, one walkie-talkie radio, N140,000 and a bunch of charms.
