The police in Nasarawa State have arrested six suspects over armed robbery, kidnapping, and unlawful possession of firearms in Doma Local Government Area.
In a statement in Lafia, the police Public Relations Officer, Rahman Nansel explained that operatives from Doma Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, raided a notorious criminal hideout at Yelwa Ediya, leading to the arrest of the suspect and recovery of a hundred thousand naira cash and a motorcycle.

According to the statement, the suspects confessed to kidnapping a serving councillor, stealing two mobile phones, and mounting a roadblock along the Doma–Yelwa road, where they snatched a Bajaj motorcycle valued at nine hundred and seventy thousand naira.
In a separate incident, operatives from Keana Division arrested a herder at Gidan Zaki Hassan, Kuduku, in Keana Local Government Area for allegedly shooting at locals with an AK-47 rifle loaded with six live rounds of ammunition after he was confronted by them for grazing on their farmlands.
