The Plateau State Police Command has warned criminal elements in the State to end their activities or relocate. State Commissioner of Police, Edward Egbuka issued the threat while parading 13 suspected criminals to newsmen in Jos, the state capital.

In his last briefing, Egbuka paraded one Muhammad Ali, a suspected member of the dreaded gang of kidnappers who murdered a lecturer with the University of Jos, Dr. Nandi Drenkat and kidnapped his 7-year old daughter. The daughter of the deceased was however later rescued unhurt after a gun battle between the kidnappers and police operatives assisted by local vigilante and hunters.

This time, 2 other members of the notorious gang of kidnappers who had escaped the gun battle with bullet wounds were tracked down.
