Police Parade 20 Suspects In Gombe, Step Up Security In Metropolis, Environs

The Gombe State Command of the Nigeria Police Forces has said it is consolidating on the task of ensuring that the Gombe metropolis and environs remain safe and free from the antics of criminal elements in the State.

The Command Public Relations Officer, Buhari Abdullahi disclosed this during the parade of over twenty suspects arrested for l various degrees of criminal activities.

The Gombe Police spokesman told Newsmen that the suspects were involved in criminal activities ranging from armed robbery, homicide, stealing of cattle, shop breaking, possession of stolen property, and the “big one”, stealing of transformers.

Also in the Police net are persons suspected to be involved in the trade of stolen property, manipulation of Automated Teller Machine as well as what he the PPRO described as an unnatural offence which he said is sexual in nature.

Buhari Abdulla noted that with the large haul of suspects now answering questions on criminal activities, the Police is urging the general public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest Police station and security agencies.
