The Niger state working committee of the ruling all progressives congress, APC has been invited by the State police command, to provide details of the financial transactions of the party.
APC state chairman, Jibrin imam is to lead members of the committee to honour the invitation of the state police command following a petition filed by the state financial secretary, Muhammad idris, who alleges lack of records for several funds received by the party.
Idris explains that as the financial secretary of the party, his duties have been breached, as he was blocked from receiving bank alerts, on the transactions of the party, as contained in the party’s constitution, article 14, section 8.
Before the allegations, the party chairman, Jibrin imam, was invited to appear on friday, may 29, but the state working committee of the party after a meeting, sent a delegation to the police, led by the state secretary, Muhammad liman.
Efforts are on by some state party stalwarts to reconcile the opposing sides after an emergency state working committee meeting held on friday.
