Schools and tertiary institutions in parts of the Federal Capital Territory have been advised to operate minimally and remain security conscious.
The advice came from the police in the Bwari Area Command of the Territory, following tension in Sabon Wuse, a small town near Suleja and Bwari, after news made the rounds that hundreds of unidentified persons were moving across roads on motorcycles and camels.
Confirming the meeting with the police to ait.live, Vice Chancellor of Veritas University, the Catholic university of Nigeria, Bwari, Reverend Father Professor Hyiacent Ichoku said the police in the meeting advised institutions in the area to be more conscious and vigilant.

Professor Ichoku said Veritas University which is rounding off its semester examinations, had to ask students who have completed the exercise to leave much earlier for the semester break.
Ichoku advised government to beef up security around schools, while appealing for Nigerians to co-exist in more peaceful manner for the growth and development of the country.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, when the news of strange movement of suspected Fulani group broke, the acting Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba had told a live radio programme that the police is on top of the development to ascertain the true state of things.
Alkali had added that Fulani are an endangered species, who search for greener fields to graze their cattle, but will investigate further to ascertain that the persons are genuine Nigerian Fulani and not individuals immigrating to pose further security concerns arround the capital city.
