It stated further that when searched, one of the passengers named Mohammed Usman of Beji, was said to have been found in possession of a locally made revolver pistol, with four 9 mm live ammunition.

According to the police spokesman, during interrogation, the suspect allegedly claimed that he bought the pistol from a friend, identified as Abubakar, who had relocated to Nasarawa State, and said he bought it for his personal security.
