He said as a result of the call, the District Police Officer, DPO, of the area led a team of Policemen to the area, engaged the hoodlums in a gun duel, and successfully repelled them.

Isah added that, in the course of scanning the scene, one of the terrorists was neutralized and his dead body was recovered.

Additionally, one AK 47 rifle with twenty-two rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition of AK 47 rifle was also recovered at the scene.

Many of the terrorists according to the police image maker, were reasonably believed to have been neutralized and/or escaped the scene with gunshot wounds saying, search parties are combing the nearest bushes with a view of arresting them and/or recovering their dead bodies.

The Command, therefore, is appealing to members of the communities around the area to report to the nearest police station any person found or seen with a suspected injury.
