The Oyo state police command has confirmed the killing of 22 year-old Tosin Thomas by members of the South west regional security outfit, Amotekun in the Mokola area of the state capital, Ibadan.
According to a release by the state police public relations officer Olugbenga Fadeyi, Thomas was hit by a gunshot fired by Amotekun and was rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan where he was pronounced dead.

The police also said an investigation has commenced into the circumstances that led to the shooting
