Amid rumours of a planned nationwide Police strike over delayed and poor salary scheme, lack of modern arms and ammunition to combat crime, tax deductions and poor access to healthcare services, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP, Ari Muhammed, has urged officers of the Command to remain calm and shun any acts capable of destabilizing the entire structure of the Nigeria Police Force.

Speaking at an interactive session with senior officers of the Command at the State Headquarters, as directed by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Usman, the Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammed, said the Police is a regimented organisation, with laid down rules and regulations guiding its operations.
The Commissioner of Police also said, in line with the IGP’s mission and vision, the implementation of the new salary scheme and removal of tax from Police salaries will commence in earnest, adding that the IGP has also approved a 40% increment in rent allowances and 20% increase in risk allowances, with immediate effect.
