The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commended the Nigeria Police Force for unsealing its national offices in Abuja, describing the move as a demonstration of professionalism and adherence to the rule of law.
In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Mohammed, the party said the action reflects respect for constitutional order and due process.
The PDP explained that its National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, and Legacy House, Maitama, were unsealed and handed over to the National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, and the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, in compliance with duly issued court orders.
The party warned that it would not condone any act capable of causing obstruction, disruption, or breach of peace at the secretariat, urging individuals and groups to conduct themselves within the bounds of the law. It added that security agencies have been alerted to take necessary action against violators.
While expressing appreciation to its National Leader, Nyesom Wike, and other stakeholders for their support, the PDP reassured members that the recent challenges confronting the party have been effectively resolved.
The party also called on aggrieved members to sheath their swords and embrace unity in the collective interest of the PDP.
