A total of 3.9 million under-five children are targeted for immunisation against polio in Kano State, North-West Nigeria.
Commissioner for Health, Abubakar Labaran said this at the flag-off, of the April 2024 polio vaccination at Ungogo Local Government Area. He added that the exercise will be carried out across the 44 local government areas of the state.
Labaran called on parents and caregivers to bring their children to the nearest health centres to be vaccinated. He says improving the health of children under-five through immunisation remains a priority for the Kano State Government.
