The Peoples Democratic Party in Ebonyi State says the political crisis there has escalated since Governor Dave Umahi decamped from the party to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Briefing journalists in Abuja on the development, it says that party members have been subjected to acts of intimidation and violent attacks.

The chapter calls on the Federal Government and the international community to call the governor to order, before the situation of the deepening crisis gets out of hand.
It commends the security operatives for the interception of ammunition in Abakaliki Building Materials Market, and asks for a stronger security presence in Ebonyi State during the festive celebrations.
