The current political crises rocking Plateau State in North-Central Nigeria seems to be spreading with a new front opening up in Langtang North Local Government Area as attempts were made to stop the reinstated Chairman, Joshua Laven from gaining access to his office. It reportedly took the timely intervention of the Police Commissioner to avert a fracas.
This comes as the new Commissioner of Police and the Deputy Inspector-General of Police Zone D bring waring factions in the face-off to the negotiating table to prevent further degeneration.
Security personnel were deployed to Langtang North Secretariat to prevent violence as a fallout of the court ruling on November 2 which reinstated Joshua Laven as Council Chairman declaring the election conducted to elect a new Chairman as null and void.

As at the time of filing this report, the meeting between the two contesting parties in Langtang North LGA was still on going.
But while that was going on,
the two groups involved in the leadership crisis rocking the Plateau State House of Assembly were summoned to the Police Command Headquarters in Jos for negotiations at the instance of the AIG Zone D, Mustapha Dandaura.
