A section of the popular multi-billion naira Balogun market in Lagos has been engulfed by fire this Tuesday as emergency responders are currently battling to prevent the raging fire from causing further damage.
The fire started at the topmost floor of the five-storey building located at 32 Balogun where firefighters from the Lagos state and federal fire service departments, including officials from the Lagos state emergency management agency ( LASEMA) are currently working to respond to the situation.

Casualty figure is yet to be ascertained by officials as at the time of filling this report.
