Port Harcourt Voters Unhappy With INEC Over Late Arrival Of Election Materials

Eligible voters in ward 4 of Port Harcourt city local government area of Rivers State say they are not happy with the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC over late arrival of officials and Election materials.

The Electorates who came out in their numbers to vote in the Presidential and National Assembly elections also knocked INEC for the malfunctioning of the BVAS device.

Accreditation and voting commenced at about 2 pm Nigerian time at the state school orogbum housing ward 4 which has about 11 units in the Port Harcourt city local government area of Rivers State.

Voters who came out in large numbers however expressed disappointment over the unavailability of the result sheets for the senatorial election.

They also registered their displeasure with INEC over the malfunctioning of the BVAS device.

The residents said they were prepared and willing to wait for as long as it takes to perform their civic duty.

As at 3:30pm, some eligible voters were still on the queue insisting they should be allowed to vote.
