Premier League: Mohammed Salah Signs New Liverpool Contract, Extends Stay

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract with the club, extending his stay at Anfield beyond the 2024-25 season.

The Egyptian, who joined the Reds from AS Roma in 2017, is currently enjoying another remarkable campaign, having scored 32 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions. 27 in the Premier League, making him the top scorer. He has also registered 22 assists for his teammates so far this season

Salah, 32, expressed his delight at continuing his journey with the Merseyside club.

The news marks a significant boost for manager Arne Slot, who will be hoping to build on Salah’s contributions as Liverpool look to compete for major honours once again.

Salah, already regarded as one of the club’s greatest players, is third on Liverpool’s all-time top scorer list with 243 goals in 394 appearances. He has helped the Reds to seven major trophies during his time at Anfield, including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup and two League Cups.

His individual achievements include three Premier League Golden Boot awards, two PFA Players’ Player of the Year honours, and two FWA Footballer of the Year awards.
