President Muhammadu Buhari may decide the fate of the ruling All Progressives Congress as far as the date for the National Convention of the Party is concerned.
Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state told newsmen in the early hours of Monday after a meeting of the Governors that they will seek audience with the President for a suitable date.
It is believed that the Governors will also seek the support of the President on the contentious Direct mode of primaries in the political parties which has drawn hostility between Nigeria Lawmakers and political parties including the main opposition, the PDP.

The Governors are also excited about the peaceful conduct of the Anambra Governorship Election.
According to Bagudu “That the election took place is a victory. Party candidates have the pride of place to determine their views about the outcome of elections but we are proud that under the All Progressives Congress, the election that people thought will be impossible has taken place”.
