President Tinubu has Approved the scrapping of the Ministries of Niger Delta and sports development.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga who confirmed the development on his X handle also said there will now be a ministry of regional development to oversee all the regional development commissions, such as Niger Delta Development Commission, North West Development Commission, South West Development Commission , North East Development Commission.
National Sports Commission will take over the role of the Ministry of Sports.
Onanuga also confirms FEC’s approval of merger of Ministry of Tourism with Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy.
The Decisions were taken on Wednesday at the meeting of Federal Executive Council presided over by President Bola Tinubu
