President Bola Tinubu has expressed appreciation to Nigerians for their goodwill messages, prayers, and support as he marks his 74th birthday.
In a personal message released on the occasion, on Sunday , the President thanked citizens for their patriotism and solidarity with his administration, noting that their continued backing has been instrumental in navigating the country’s ongoing reforms.
He also acknowledged individuals and groups who placed congratulatory messages in newspapers and sponsored radio and television broadcasts in his honour, describing their gestures as deeply appreciated.
The President extended special gratitude to First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for her kind words, as well as Vice President Kashim Shettima for his commendation.
Tinubu noted that, in line with his tradition of reflecting the mood of the country, he chose to mark this year’s birthday in a low-key manner.
Reflecting on his administration’s journey so far, the President said while the country has faced challenges since the introduction of key reforms, there are encouraging signs of progress, despite temporary setbacks linked to the ongoing Middle East crisis.
He stressed that the gains recorded are a collective achievement of the government and the Nigerian people, rather than his alone.
As his administration approaches its third anniversary, Tinubu expressed confidence in delivering a brighter future, reaffirming his commitment to addressing the country’s challenges.
He called on Nigerians to continue working together to build a stronger, more prosperous and resilient country, adding that such unity is essential to making Nigeria the pride of Africa.
