The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has assured Nigerians of improved security measures, stating that crime rates have reduced across the country.
Egbetokun spoke after a routine security meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, where the security Chiefs presented security briefs
Also speaking to journalists after the meeting, the Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa, said the military is taking steps to restore full oil production, targeting 2.1 million barrels per day.

He warned criminals involved in infrastructure destruction and crude oil theft that their days are numbered, and that the military would come after them.
The meeting with the president is coming as some Nigerians are set to protest nationwide against insecurity and food crisis.
