The Senate on Wednesday received a letter from President Muhammadu Buhari affirming his appearance before the joint session of the National Assembly on Thursday at 12noon Nigerian Time to present the 2022 Appropriation.
The President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan read the president ‘s letter during plenary on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, as stated in the revised 2022 – 2024 MTEF/ FSP documents and read by the Deputy Senate President on Tuesday , President Buhari has jerked up the deficit status of the planned budget from N5.6trillion to N6.2trillion.
The President in the revised document said the deficit which was 3.05% to GDP ratio is now 3.4% which is above the threshold recommended by the Fiscal Responsibility Act.
