President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged Nigeria’s continued support to the Government and People of Republic of Burundi.
President Buhari stated this on Tuesday during a meeting with Burundi President on the sidelines of the 76th United Nations General Assembly holding in New York, United States of America.
The President said “We will be proactive, and give support to the best of our abilities,”

The Burundian President said his country was out of conflict and there is now peace and reconciliation as well as vast opportunities to exploit.
He said his country was looking for support of friendly nations in the areas of oil supply, agriculture, mines, and several others, which Nigerian experts can provide.
