While fielding questions on the slow pace of work on the road, some of the stakeholders said that, the delay in completion of the road is raising security concerns.
The Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola said, the request by the National Assembly to increase the lane from two to three equally contributed to the slow speed of work. The contract for the 375 kilometers highway was awarded in December 2018.
