After spending 8 days in his home town Daura in Katsina state where he spent the Eid-el-Kabir holiday, President Muhammadu Buhari is back to Abuja, the nation’s capital.

State Governor Aminu Masari along with his deputy, Mannir Yakubu and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Tasiu Maigari led other top government functionaries and well meaning citizens amidst tight security to bid him farewell at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport Katsina.

The presidential helicopter carrying the number one citizen coming directly from Daura, touched down on the airport runway at about 3:33 pm.

The President before his departure at about 4:00 pm reviewed the guard of honour by officers and men of Nigeran Army and Nigerian Air Force from 17 Brigade and 213 Forward Operating Base.

It could be recalled that while Buhari was in Katsina State earlier in the week, he commissioned a number of projects completed by both Federal and the Katsina State Governments including the first Organic Integrated Farm Estate established by the National Land Development Authority, NALDA, located in Suduje on the outskirts of Daura.

The farm has the capacity to generate over N1.7 billion in the first year and is engaging about 1,500 women and youths from 13 communities within the project area.
