President Muhammadu Buhari has visited Yola to commiserate with families, government, and people of Adamawa State in North-East Nigeria over the death of three of their prominent sons, Ahmed Joda, Mahmud Tukur, and Abdullahi Danburam.
The President was received at the Yola International Airport by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri and other top government officials.

The President immediately proceeded to the Palace of the Lamido Adamawa, His Royal Highness, Barkindo Aliyu,

President Buhari described the late “Super” Permanent Secretary, Ahmed Joda, as his close ally. He said Joda was of great assistance to him, without expecting a favour in return.
Also, President Buhari has described the late Mahmud Tukur, as a friend of his family, who dedicated his life to serving Nigeria under his regime, as military President.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri and Lamido Adamawa, Barkindo Aliyu, thanked President Buhari for coming to Yola to condole with the State.
The President has since departed Adamawa for Kano, to participate in the ceremony of his son’s wedding.
