President Buhari visits Kebbi State

President Muhammadu Buhari says Nigeria is gradually moving towards food sufficiency as the agric revolution in parts of the country is yielding positive gains.

The President who was speaking at the opening ceremony of the Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival called on Nigerians to leverage on the gains of culture to build bridges of love and unity

It was an array of agric produce on display at the venue of the cultural festival. More striking are thousands of bags of rice turned into a huge pyramind with the unique display of the culture of the prople of Argungu such as the Durbar led by the Emir amid a procession of the food truck tug of war among others that were displayed to the admiration of guests.

The excitement is noticeable as the annual festival was put on hold 2 years ago as a result of insecurity in the State so having it this year means alot to the people

President Buhari led the Federal Government delegation to celebrate the 26th edition of the Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival.

While praising Nigerian farmers for their determination to help the country attain food security, the President also called for the unlocking of other tourist sites across the country to boost the tourism sector.
