Governor Aminu Masari has presented a letter to the state’s House of Assembly, seeking the review of the state’s 2021 budget to accommodate it.

This is contained in a letter to the house by the governor and read by the Deputy House Leader, Ibrahim Dikko, during plenary on Tuesday.

According to Dikko, the governor is seeking the approval of the house to accommodate the 6.25 billion Naira from the Federal Government in the budget, for the implementation of the ranching programme in the state.

Meanwhile, the house has also called on the state government to construct an earth dam in Shinkafi Ward, located inside Katsina Local Government Area of the state.

The call followed a motion presented by Aliyu Abubakar-Alibaba, representing Katsina Local Government Constituency in the assembly.

According to Abubakar-Alibaba, the motion is necessary to support the people of the area in irrigation farming, and prevent flooding this rainy season.

The house, after series of deliberations by members, adopted the motion, calling on the state government to intervene and construct the dam.
