President Bola Tinubu has announced the successful rescue of 38 abducted worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State, following intensified security operations coordinated over the last few days.
In a statement personally issued by the President, he also confirmed that 51 missing students of a Catholic school in Niger State have been recovered by security forces.
The President noted that he had cancelled his scheduled trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to directly oversee national security efforts, adding that he has been receiving continuous updates from the frontline.
President Tinubu reiterated his commitment to ensuring the safety of every Nigerian, stressing that his administration will not relent in restoring peace across the country.
According to him, “Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people.”
The President, who commended the efforts of security operatives involved in the operations, assured that the Federal Government remains fully committed to ending insecurity and safeguarding lives and property across the nation.
