President Bola Tinubu has acknowledged the role of General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, fondly called IBB in “the sculpting of modern Nigeria”, and commends him for his services to the country.
The President made this statement when he congratulated the former Nigerian Military President on his 83rd birthday, on Saturday, August 17.
President Tinubu in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, salutes the former leader on this special occasion, noting his endeavours towards the development of the country, especially in infrastructure. He noted the completion of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State which at the time was the longest bridge in Africa.
General Babangida was Nigeria’s Military President from 1985 to 1993.
