President Bola Tinubu on Sunday departed Lagos for Europe as part of his end-of-year break and in preparation for an official visit to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The President is expected to participate in the 2026 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2026) Summit, scheduled to hold early in January, following an invitation from the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is a weeklong annual global gathering that convenes leaders from government, business and civil society to shape the future of sustainable development.
The 2026 summit, themed “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go,” will connect ambition with action across innovation, finance and people, while showcasing pathways for advancing global sustainability with confidence.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the conclusion of the summit.
