President Bola Tinubu on Sunday marked his 74th birthday with a solemn prayer session at the National Mosque Abuja, urging Nigerians to remain united and hopeful despite current economic challenges.

The President described the occasion as a moment of reflection and thanksgiving to Almighty Allah for life, family, and the nation.

The prayer session, attended by top government officials, also focused on seeking peace and stability globally, particularly in light of the ongoing Middle East crisis.

Speaking after the prayers, President Tinubu acknowledged the difficult economic conditions facing the country, including rising transportation costs, electricity challenges, and inflationary pressures.

He attributed some of these challenges to global factors beyond Nigeria’s control, especially the impact of tensions in the Middle East.

The President, however, expressed confidence in the resilience of Nigerians, noting that the country has the strength and determination to overcome its current difficulties.

He also appreciated the outpouring of goodwill messages and prayers from citizens across the country and the international community, describing them as overwhelming and encouraging.

President Tinubu called on Nigerians to use the moment to rededicate themselves to national development and prosperity, assuring that with unity and faith, the nation will prevail.
