President Bola Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja Monday after a ten-day working visit to Lagos where he held a series of engagements with key investors, development partners, and political stakeholders.

The President arrived in Lagos on Friday, September 26, shortly after attending the coronation of Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, in Ibadan Oyo State.

During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu met with notable investors, including Bayo Ogunlesi, Chief Executive Officer of Global Infrastructure Partners, and Keem Belo-Osagie, former Chairman of United Bank for Africa and Etisalat.

Their discussions, according to the Presidency, focused on expanding investment opportunities in Nigeria’s infrastructure and energy sectors.

In another engagement, President Tinubu received the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Arsenio Dominguez, alongside the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and other sector leaders.

The President reiterated his administration’s resolve to transform Nigeria’s maritime industry into a robust contributor to national revenue and a credible alternative to fossil fuel dependency.

Ahead of Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary, President Tinubu visited Imo State, where he commissioned several projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma and unveiled a book authored by the governor, highlighting a decade of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in governance.

On October 1, the President delivered the national broadcast from the State House, Dodan Barracks, Lagos, before proceeding to commission the refurbished National Theatre, now renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts.

During the commissioning, Tinubu urged Nigerians to promote optimism and unity through positive expressions about the country.

The President’s working visit concluded with a trip to Jos, Plateau State, on Saturday, October 4, where he attended the burial of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, Chairman of the APC in Plateau State.

At the ceremony, President Tinubu paid tribute to the deceased and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fairness and equity for all religious groups in the country.
