President Bola Tinubu has written to the Senate, asking the lawmakers to screen and confirm nominations of service chiefs.
President Tinubu’s request is contained in a letter read by the president of the senate, Godswill Akpabio during plenary on Tuesday.
According to letter, the nomination is in compliance with section 18, (1) of the armed forces Act (2004).
President Tinubu noted that the current security situation of the country requires concerted effort of both the legislature and the executive to ensure that the nation is well protected.
He added that the review of defense architecture and nomination of new security chiefs is to achieve synergy in service delivery for optimal performance in the task of securing the country.

Below is the list of service chiefs forwarded by President Tinubu to the senate for confirmation.
1 Maj. Gen. C.G Musa (Chief of Defence Staff)
2 Maj. Gen T. A Lagbaja( Chief of Army Staff)
3 Rear Admirral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla (Chief of Naval Staff)
4 Air vice-marshal H.B Abubakar (Chief of Air Staff)
