President Bola Tinubu on Monday signed the new N70,000 National Minimum Wage Bill into law.
The President briefly suspended meeting of the Executive Council of the Federation to sign the National Minimum Wage Bill into law upon the arrival of the leadership of the National Assembly.
Addressing State House correspondents after the brief ceremony, President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio said the new law will go a long way to uplift Nigerian workers. He added that government is not only doubling the minimum wage, but added something on top from N30,000 to N70,000.

The Council meeting continued after the brief suspension.
