President Tinubu to unveil five-year EU programmme for Nigerian women

President Bola Tinubu will on Wednesday, March 7 be unveiling Integrity Brigade, Mobile Court and the European Union supported E-portal Market for Women to ensure protection and inclusion of women, children and persons living with disabilities.

Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy disclosed this while addressing issues raised by rule of law and anti-corruption agencies during its conference of State Commissioners for Women Affairs.

The conference which also had Permanent Secretaries of the ministries from the 36 states and Federal Capital Territory Abuja was to equip them on the legal framework that would help drive the mission of inclusiveness, empowerment, justice delivery, and implementation of laws and legislations for women especially the vulnerable in the society

The Minister says, women groups, media and other stakeholders should work closely with government to achieve inclusiveness and justice for women. She urged them to be more accountable at the state level.

The programme which is aimed at achieving gender equality, empowerment and inclusiveness, justice for women, children and persons with disabilities, is a five-year programme supported by European Union International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance.
