The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has presented three more witnesses who served as INEC adhoc presiding officers in the last presidential election.

The witnesses were subpoenaed to appear and testify on the conduct of the election in their polling units
As was the case in the appearance of the previous witnesses, INEC, Bola Tinubu, and the APC all objected to the witnesses adopting their sworn statements on grounds that it was not filed within the specified time.

The court however went ahead to hear their testimonies, while noting that the objections will be looked into and ruled on later.

All the witnesses admitted to the fact that the electoral process was smooth.

The witness from Yagba West in Kogi state however told the court that she was not happy with not being able to transmit the results with the use of the BVAS. While her appointment letter to serve as presiding officer was earlier admitted by the court, under cross-examination, the lawyer for Bola Tinubu noted that column showing the name of her trainer and her supervising electoral officer were unsigned.

Another subpoenaed witness from Niger state under cross examination, identified the address which her subpoena was sent to as the PDP office.

The witness from Ovia South in Edo state also, admitted to being unable to transmit the image of the result sheet using the BVAS. However, under cross examination, she admitted being issued the INEC EC40G, used to indicate polling units where elections were either canceled or did not hold.

The hearing of the petition of the PDP continues on Saturday 10th June.
