As the last quarter of 2022 commences, drivers , Commuters and other road users have been advised to stick to driving rules and regulations to reduce avoidable road crashes during the ember months.
To this end, the Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC has promised minimal Road Traffic Crashes and fatality rate during the 2022 ‘Ember Months’ using its advocacy facilities.
Sector Commander of FRSC in Cross River State, Alhassan Maikano stated this during an interview in Calabar,saying the officers of the corps will soon commence the ember month campaign across the eighteen local Government areas of the state.
Allashan called on drivers to discourage night travels, violating speed limits, committing lane indiscipline and disregarding other traffic rules and regulations while driving .

The State FRSC boss said these violations increase the spate and fatalities of road Traffic Crashes within the ember period which lead to casualties.
He assured that the command will also take the advocacy to motor parks and garages across the state in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
According to him all the blackspots have been identified ,marked and efforts were in place to control speed that will prevent crashes In Cross River State.
