Hundreds of protesters on Sunday evening blocked the popular state road in Kano to express their reservations over the deposition of the 15th emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero.
The protesters who carried placards, with different inscriptions, barricaded the popular state road, burning tyres and chanting solidarity songs in support of Aminu Ado Bayero.
The protesters are demanding that the State government led by Governor Abba Yusuf should obey the court order which ordered that the reinstatement of Emir Sanusi be suspended.
While the Director-General of Media and Publicity to the governor, Sanusi Bature says the Kano State government will continue to respect orders seen to be valid from the judiciary, others want the federal government to come out clean in the matter.
