The Nyesom Wike-aligned National Caretaker Working Committee, NWC of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has announced an adjustment in the dates of its proposed National Convention in Abuja.
According to the committee, the convention earlier scheduled for March 28 and 29, 2026, has now been shifted to March 29 and 30, 2026.
This decision followed an emergency meeting of the National Caretaker Working Committee of the party.
The committee also announced the dissolution of the South-West and North-West Zonal Committees, alongside other key resolutions aimed at repositioning the party.
The National Caretaker Working Committee assured party members that credible congresses will be conducted across affected states and zones, to ensure a successful and widely accepted National Convention.
