The outgoing Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Professor Florence Obi, has stressed the institution’s zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment, saying her administration ensured that victims received justice and offenders were held accountable.
She noted that protecting students and maintaining a safe learning environment remained one of her administration’s most important achievements.
She encouraged the university community to remain vigilant and supportive of policies that safeguard students’ rights and welfare.
Shr also urged the incoming management team to sustain the momentum, continue implementing reforms, and maintain the university’s commitment to justice, fairness, and a safe academic environment for all students.
Professor Obi noted that the University of Calabar had made steady progress under her tenure, with improvements in infrastructure, academics, and student welfare.
