Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC, under the aegis of Progressive Governors Forum PGF, have expressed satisfaction with the leadership style of President Bola Tinubu.

The forum commended the renewed synergy between federal and state governments, highlighting significant progress in fiscal reforms, food security, energy transition, infrastructural development, and the revitalization of the social sector.

Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma made this known while addressing journalists in Benin City, Edo State following a communiqué issued at the end of a two-day strategic inaugural regional meeting of the Progressive Governors Forum.

The governors dressed in traditional Bini attire, went into a closed-door session at the Edo State Government House where they deliberated on critical national issues, including the economy, security, and social development.

The host governor, Monday Okpebholo later led his colleagues to the palace of the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II for a courtesy visit.

There, Governor Uzodinma thanked the monarch for his consistent support and prayers for Edo State and Nigeria as a whole and reaffirmed the Progressive Governors’ commitment to supporting Governor Okpebholo’s administration.

The Oba who has consistently expressed admiration for Governor Okpebholo, pledged his continued support for the governor’s efforts toward the progress of Edo State.
