Promoting Peaceful Coexistence: Late Dokpesi receives accolade

Late High Chief Raymond Dokpesi

Founder of DAAR Communications PLC, Late High Chief Raymond Dokpesi has been described as a visionary leader who used his media conglomerate as a rallying point to promote peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.

Co-Executive Director of the Interfaith Mediation Centre Dr Nureen Ashafa stated this at a one-day conference on inter-religious dialogue in Kaduna State.

The conference put together by the Kukah centre was aimed at leveraging on dialogue to promote peaceful coexistence

Co-executive Director of Interfaith Mediation Centre Dr Nureen Ashafa advised Nigerians to protect one another irrespective of ethnicity or religious affiliations.

He noted that Late High Chief Raymond Dopkesi understood this concept, and used his media outfit to propagate it.

The conference explained that violence is at variance with religious teachings as well as the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria hence, the youths should see the need to engage in activities that would contribute towards nation building.

The theme of the conference is ‘Seeking Common Ground for Collaboration in a Community’
