Protesters converged on Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota, Lagos, for the third consecutive day of the EndBadGovernance protest.

The turn out on the third day is however lower than the previous days prompting the organisers to devise ways of increasing the turn out as explained by one of the organisers Opeyemi Folarin.

According to Folarin, efforts are being made to increase the number of protesters considering that Saturday is a work free day with a life band expected soon.

The demonstration, which commenced on Thursday has witnessed many Nigerians taking to the streets to demand an end to corruption, economic hardship, and poor leadership.

Undeterred by the scorching sun, the protesters remain resolute, chanting slogans and waving placards.

The atmosphere is peaceful, with police officers maintaining a safe distance.

Tunde, a 30-year-old protester, expressed his motivation for participating in the demonstration. “We are here because we want change. We want a country where our leaders care about us, not just themselves.”

The protest is being organized by a coalition of civil society groups, who are demanding that the government take concrete steps to address the country’s pressing issues.

Zikora Ibeh , an activist leading the protest, emphasized the protesters’ determination. “We will not be silenced. We will not be intimidated. We demand change, and we demand it now.”

Although the government has yet to respond to the protesters’ demands, the demonstrators remain hopeful that their voices will be heard.

Another protester, who wished to remain anonymous, vowed to continue the protest until change is achieved. “We will not back down. We will continue to protest until we see change.”

The EndBadGovernance protest is expected to continue in the coming days, with more Nigerians joining in to demand a better future for their country.
